HW#18--Due Monday, May 8
Read chapters 7 and 8. Make a creative representation about a character that appears in one or both chapters, whom you find interesting. Your work can show your view of the character, or it can show that character's view of the world/Maycomb/themself. This could be a poem, song, piece of art, journal entry from that character's point of view--anything that is not just a straight ahead analysis of the character from your point of view.

Find at least 5 quotes in these chapters that show how certain people in Maycomb think women/girls are "supposed" to act or what their personality is "supposed" to be like. Find at least 5 quotes that show how certain people in Maycomb think men/boys are "supposed" to act or what their personality is "supposed" to be like. HW#14
Finish reading chapter 1 in To Kill a Mockingbird.
As you read, be sure to refer to the list of vocab words here and allusions (references) here.
If you ever leave your book at school you can always read it online here.
Then using highly specific details from the text, make visual representations of:
1) Jem and Scout's mental image of Arthur "Boo" Radley
2) One place in Maycomb that you have a clear image of in your mind
Get creative! Draw, paint, use images from the internet, make a collage, use different colors and textures, etc. You may mix in some key phrases from the text if you wish, but the assignment should be mainly visual.
